Sony electronics introduced their new flagship android phone on 7th January at CES 2013. With the launch of Sony xperia Z, Sony has also entered in 5 inch smartphone club. This phone has very good configurations which all of you would love to have in our cellphone.

This android smartphone is powered by Snapdragon S4 pro quad core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. Along with this; there is also Adreno 320 graphics processor included. Gravity, proximity and Accelerometer sensors are also included. The dimensions of this hone are 139 x 71 x 8 mm which is pretty good. In spite of being 5 inch smartphone, the phone weighs only 147 g. As far as operating system is concerned, it will be running on latest Android O.S, i.e. v4.1.1 jellybean.

Xperia Z boasts a battery of 2330 mAh which is non-removable type. It is Lithium ion polymer battery. This battery is enough to provide a stand-by time of 500+ hours on both 2G and 3G networks, and talk-time of 14 hours on 2G and 11 hours on 3G networks. You can expect music playback time of up to 40 hours. Besides normal mode, there is also an energy saving mode called as Battery STAMINA mode. When this mode is turned on, all apps using background data will be turned off when screen is off. User can select some apps to add to blacklist so that you can let them access data. With this mode, you can battery run time can be extended up to 4 times.
Sony Xperia ZL:
This is another member of Xperia family. All features are similar to Xperia Z, only the dimensions differ. The ZL is thicker but small in size. Also, Xperia Z is light in weight than Xperia ZL.
Sony Xperia Z additional features:
The Xperia Z is water proof just like Sony Xperia J. It can remain in clean water for up to 30 minutes. It is also dust proof.
Sony Xperia Z price in India, U.S, availability:
Sony Xperia Z will be priced at around 35000 rupees when available in India, which is approximately $700. This phone is worth its price in this price range.
